LES HAUTS DE SEIGNOL

AOP Bandol Rosé 2019
Divider

Often referred to as one of the best terroirs in the region, Bandol owes its reputation to a very favourable microclimate, mainly thanks to the restanques – terraces supported by stone walls to limit erosion and run-off during bad weather, while helping water to be absorbed into the vines.

The vinification of this prestigious appellation dates back to the 6th century BC, when the first vines were planted in the vicinity of the small village of Le Castellet. These are the same areas in which we have carefully selected the vines to make our LES HAUTS DE SEIGNOL wine.

The result of the local microclimate and the use of time-honoured winemaking methods is the beautiful balance of flavours found in our Bandol.

Grape varieties : Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Grenache.

Type of soil : Sandstone limestone-clay

Vinification : The diversity of exposures, grape varieties and terroirs comprising terraces and restanques results in a beautiful balance unique to Bandol rosé wines

Tasting notes : Pale salmon-pink appearance. Citrus and bergamot bouquet. Sinewy, full palate.

PERLE DE FRUIT

AOP Côtes de Provence Rosé 2020
Divider

PERLE DE FRUIT is the result of meticulous efforts in blending grapes from the finest parcels (or “pearls”) in the vineyards of the Côtes de Provence appellation.

The wines of Provence have delighted the palates of many historical figures; they can be traced back to antiquity, through “Good King René” in the Middle Ages and Madame de Sévigné in the 17th century, who was a frequent visitor to the Provencal town of Entrecasteaux. It was only in 1977 that the Côtes de Provence wines were awarded AOC status.

Today, the strict specifications imposed on the Appellation d’origine protégée wine regions enable us to control the high quality of the rosé wines, whose reputation is well established. PERLE DE FRUIT is the perfect example, offering irresistible balance and freshness.

Grape varieties : 55% Cinsault, 35% Grenache, 10% Syrah.

Type of soil : Clay and limestone slopes.

Vinification : The grapes are harvested very early in the morning to avoid oxidation of the berries, which is detrimental to the wineʼs special aromas and colour. From the moment they arrive in the cellar until the start of fermentation, the musts are protected from oxygen. We set the length of the skin maceration according to grape variety. The juices are fermented at low temperature (13° to 15°C) to release all their aromas.

Maturation : The estate combines tradition with modernity, and is located on a Roman site; its former inhabitants had clearly appreciated the remarkable qualities of the location. Vine enthusiasts can also enjoy a visit to a vineyard – a conservatory of 60 different grape varieties.

Tasting notes : Pale pink, slightly salmon-coloured appearance. Floral, fruity bouquet, with aromas of citrus, ripe peach and tea-rose. Elegant and well rounded on the palate, with an attractive aromatic length.

Ideal serving temperature : 10°C to 12°C.
